Design of a propane tanks storage facility

Pressure calculations according to the UFC 3-340-02 methodology and design of the reinforced concrete strucure made of 4 storage cells

An analytical approach based on UFC 3-340-02 was warried out for the blast calculation of the structure. The calculation was carried out on the reinforced concrete parts that are exposed to the blast.
The methodology described in the UFC document allows to build equivalent pressure fields based on the hypothesis of a TNT equivalent charge.
With these pressure fields, it is possible to carry out a manual design of the structure in order to ensure its blast resistance, and propose standard reinforcement sections.
